LABOR RELATIONS
In Their Own Words
"During contract negotiations for the Master Construction Labor Agreement, Norling has negotiated with honesty and integrity so that even when we did not agree, we knew Norling was ‘being straight’ with us."
Mike Quevedo, Jr., Business Manager, Southern California District Council of Laborers

Business accomplishes its mission through people. Bob has over 30 years experience developing relationships and negotiating with unions, companies, government agencies and individual employees. Bob’s emphasis is negotiating and establishing procedures that help avoid conflict. When that fails, he has extensive experience in the conflict resolution process through legal proceedings, grievance boards and personal interaction. Here are some skills Bob can put to use at your company:
- Negotiating multi-employer or individual employer labor contracts and memorandums of understanding
- Represent the company on industry committees
- Lower the company’s legal fees by taking on portions of labor issues that can be handled without an attorney or managing the attorney’s effectiveness
- Represent the company at government agency investigations such as EEOC or DFEH claims
- Creating, updating and communicating employee policy manuals
- Conducting training sessions for either management or employees in diverse subjects such as avoiding harassment, hiring and terminating employees, conducting employment reviews, etc.
